Help Us Stay Accurate
Corrections
Report an error or request a clarification.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
Sport Syntax is committed to getting the facts right. As a sports news platform that publishes hundreds of articles across five major leagues, we recognize that errors can occur despite our best efforts. When they do, we believe in correcting them quickly, transparently, and completely.
We take every correction request seriously. Whether the error is a misspelled player name, an incorrect statistic, a wrong team affiliation, or a factual misrepresentation, we want to know about it so we can set the record straight.
Types of Corrections
We handle several types of corrections:
- Factual corrections — Errors in names, dates, statistics, scores, contract details, or other verifiable facts.
- Clarifications — Instances where the article is technically accurate but could be misunderstood or lacks important context.
- Updates — When a story develops and new information changes the meaning or significance of an earlier report.
- Retractions — In rare cases where an article is found to be substantially incorrect, we will retract it and publish an explanation.
How to Request a Correction
If you have found an error in our coverage, please email us at corrections@sport-syntax.com with the following details:
- The URL or title of the article in question
- The specific information that you believe is incorrect
- The correct information, with a supporting source if possible
- Your name (optional, but helpful for follow-up)
The more specific you can be, the faster we can review and address the issue.
Our Review Process
When we receive a correction request, our editorial process is as follows:
- Acknowledgment — We aim to acknowledge correction requests within 24 hours during business days.
- Verification — We verify the reported error against our original sources and any additional sources provided by the reader.
- Correction — If the error is confirmed, we update the article with the correct information and add a correction note at the bottom of the article explaining what was changed and when.
- Notification — If you provided contact information, we will follow up to let you know the correction has been made.
Transparency
Correction notes remain on articles permanently so that readers can see what was changed and when. We believe this transparency is essential to maintaining trust with our audience.
