Free agent guard Caleb Love has agreed to a two-way NBA contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, according to sources via ESPN. The deal brings the former collegiate standout to Philadelphia as the team continues to finalize its roster for the upcoming season.

Love most recently played for the University of Arizona, where he was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year for the 2023-24 season. During his lone season with the Wildcats, he averaged 18.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. Before his tenure at Arizona, Love spent three seasons at the University of North Carolina, where he played a pivotal role in leading the Tar Heels to the 2022 National Championship game.

By signing a two-way contract, Love will be eligible to split time between the 76ers' active roster and their NBA G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats. Under current NBA collective bargaining rules, players on two-way contracts can be active for up to 50 games with their parent NBA club while providing essential depth and developmental potential.

The addition of Love provides the Philadelphia 76ers with a scoring-minded guard who has extensive experience in high-pressure collegiate environments. He joins a backcourt rotation that has seen significant changes this offseason as the organization builds around stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
