The Charlotte Hornets are signing forward Tosan Evbuomwan to a two-way NBA contract, according to a report from ESPN. The deal was confirmed to the network by Evbuomwan's agent, George S. Langberg of GSL Sports Group.
Evbuomwan joins the Charlotte organization with 50 games of NBA experience already under his belt. During his professional career thus far, the forward has maintained averages of 7.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest. This signing provides the Hornets with additional frontcourt depth and a versatile wing player who has demonstrated consistent productivity in his previous NBA stints.
Under the terms of a standard two-way contract, Evbuomwan will be eligible to split time between the Charlotte Hornets active roster and their NBA G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm. NBA teams are permitted to carry up to three two-way players at any given time, providing organizations with roster flexibility and the ability to develop talent while keeping them available for the parent club.
