Free agent forward Jeremy Sochan plans to sign with the New York Knicks once he clears waivers, his agent Deirunas Visockas of Gersh Sports told ESPN on Thursday.
Sochan became available after being released by the San Antonio Spurs earlier today. The versatile forward reportedly drew significant interest from across the league, with 10 different suitors pursuing his services before he ultimately chose to join New York.
The move brings a defensive-minded presence and frontcourt versatility to the Knicks rotation. Sochan, a former lottery pick, is known for his ability to guard multiple positions and his high-energy playstyle. He will join a Knicks squad that is looking to bolster its depth as the season progresses.
The agreement is expected to be finalized as soon as the standard waiver period concludes. Sochan will then join the team to begin his tenure in Manhattan under head coach Tom Thibodeau.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
