The Utah Jazz are signing 7-foot center Mo Bamba to a 10-day contract, according to Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports and Greer Love via ESPN. The move brings the veteran big man back to an NBA roster following a dominant stint in the developmental league.
Bamba has been a standout performer for the Utah Jazz’s NBA G League affiliate recently. During his time with the affiliate, he averaged 17 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. This high-level production, particularly his rim protection and rebounding, earned him the call-up to the main roster.
Earlier this season, Bamba spent time with the Toronto Raptors. A former lottery pick, Bamba provides the Jazz with additional size and length in the frontcourt. This 10-day contract serves as an audition period for the center to prove he can contribute to the Utah rotation on a more permanent basis.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
