The NBA presented three comprehensive anti-tanking concepts to its Board of Governors on Wednesday, according to reports from ESPN sources and Shams Charania. The presentation marks a significant move by the league to address long-standing concerns regarding competitive integrity and the draft process.

One of the primary concepts discussed involves expanding the draft lottery to include 18 teams, specifically covering seeds 7 through 15 in both the Eastern and Western Conferences. This model would feature flattened odds, particularly for the bottom 10 teams in the league standings, in an effort to discourage teams from intentionally losing games to secure a higher draft pick.

League officials expect modifications to be made to each of the three concepts following further internal discussion. A formal vote on the proposed changes is currently anticipated to take place during the Board of Governors meeting in May.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
