The Denver Nuggets are signing 2022 first-round pick David Roddy to a two-way NBA contract, according to sources via ESPN. Roddy joins the Nuggets organization after a stint with the Raptors 905 in the NBA G League.
The move is designed to provide the Nuggets with additional wing depth as the team progresses through the regular season. Roddy, a 6-foot-4 forward, was originally selected with the 23rd overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. He brings prior NBA experience to Denver, having appeared in over 150 career games during his time with the Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns.
By signing a two-way deal, Roddy will be eligible to split time between the Nuggets active roster and their G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold. The former Colorado State standout returns to the state of Colorado, where he earned Mountain West Player of the Year honors during his collegiate career.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
