Free agent guard Pat Spencer has agreed to a two-way NBA contract with the Phoenix Suns, according to sources via ESPN. Spencer joins the Suns after spending the previous three seasons with the Golden State Warriors organization.
Spencer, who has steadily climbed the professional ranks, saw his role significantly expand during the most recent season in Golden State. The guard averaged 7.2 points and 18.6 minutes per game last year, proving to be a reliable depth option in the Warriors' rotation. His transition to Phoenix marks a strategic move by the Suns to bolster their backcourt versatility using one of their designated two-way roster spots.
By signing a two-way deal, Spencer will be eligible to split time between the Phoenix Suns and their G League affiliate, the Valley Suns. Per NBA regulations, players on two-way contracts can be active for up to 50 regular-season games with their parent NBA club. This acquisition allows Phoenix to retain a developmental piece with proven NBA experience as they continue to shape their roster for the 2026-27 campaign.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
