Per sources, top Pelicans officials have maintained consistent communication with Mosley since he was dismissed by the Orlando Magic on May 4. Mosley, who spent three seasons in Orlando, is considered a significant candidate for the position as New Orleans looks to find a leader following their recent coaching change. The meeting at the combine allowed the front office to gauge Mosley's vision for a roster that features cornerstones Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram.
The Pelicans organization reportedly believes the franchise is currently at a developmental stage similar to other successful modern builds that have transitioned from rebuilding to contention.
