The New York Knicks are signing forward Jeremy Sochan to a rest-of-season contract, according to Shams Charania. The 22-year-old wing joins the Knicks to provide additional size, athleticism, and defensive versatility to the rotation for the remainder of the year.
Sochan previously played 212 games for the San Antonio Spurs, where he established himself as a productive young starter. During his time in San Antonio, he averaged 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 25.3 minutes per game. His performance earned him back-to-back selections as a Rising Stars participant during his rookie and sophomore campaigns.
The addition of Sochan gives the Knicks a versatile wing capable of guarding multiple positions. Standing at 6-foot-8, the former first-round pick is expected to bolster the team's depth as they head into the final stretch of the season. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed beyond the rest-of-season duration, per @ShamsCharania.
