Robert Jones, 27, joins the 49ers after spending the 2025 season on injured reserve with the Dallas Cowboys due to a neck injury sustained during training camp. The 6-foot-4, 322-pound lineman is reportedly fully healthy and cleared to return to action. Before his tenure in Dallas, Jones appeared in 49 games with 30 starts for the Miami Dolphins between 2021 and 2024, primarily playing at left guard.
An undrafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee in 2021, Jones has logged over 2,000 offensive snaps at the professional level. He is expected to provide immediate veteran depth and competition for the San Francisco offensive front as the team prepares for the 2026 season.
