In a unanimous 32-0 vote on Tuesday, NFL owners officially approved Nashville as the host city for Super Bowl LXIV in February 2030, per @AdamSchefter.
The decision was finalized during the league's annual spring meeting in Orlando, Florida. This marks the first time in league history that the "Music City" will host the NFL's championship game. The contest will be played at the Tennessee Titans' new $2.1 billion enclosed stadium, which is currently under construction on the East Bank of the Cumberland River and is slated to open for the 2027 season.
The selection of Nashville follows the overwhelming success of the 2019 NFL Draft and years of city-led efforts to secure the marquee event. Commissioner Roger Goodell has previously praised the city's infrastructure and fan engagement, noting that the completion of the new venue would provide the necessary stage for a Super Bowl. By the time the game kicks off in 2030, the venue will have been in operation for three seasons.
Nashville joins a prestigious list of upcoming Super Bowl host cities, following SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles (2027), Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (2028), and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (2029).
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
