During his rookie campaign in San Francisco, the linebacker appeared in 15 regular-season games, primarily serving as a core contributor on special teams units. He finished the season with 10 total tackles, including seven solo stops, while providing depth to the team's defensive rotation.
The trade allows the 49ers to recoup draft capital, securing a fifth-round selection which represents an upgrade in value from the sixth-round pick originally used to draft him.
