The Philadelphia Eagles and star wide receiver A.J. Brown have officially finalized a massive contract extension, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The deal solidifies Brown as a cornerstone of the franchise’s offense for the foreseeable future.
Per Rapoport, the extension is a three-year agreement worth $96 million, featuring $84 million in total guaranteed money. The new deal makes Brown the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history on an annual basis, averaging $32 million per year. This move follows the Eagles' recent strategy of securing their core offensive talent, coming shortly after the team reached a long-term agreement with fellow wideout DeVonta Smith.
Since joining Philadelphia via trade in 2022, Brown has been one of the most productive receivers in the league, posting back-to-back seasons with over 1,400 receiving yards. The 28-year-old has earned Pro Bowl honors in both of his seasons with the Eagles and remains the primary target for quarterback Jalen Hurts. By finalizing this extension, the Eagles have ensured their top two receiving options are under contract through at least the 2028 season.
