The NFL has officially finalized the blockbuster trade sending star wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles to the New England Patriots, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
While the terms of the deal were initially reached earlier this month, the transaction is now formally complete. In exchange for the three-time Pro Bowler, the Eagles have received a 2028 first-round draft pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick. Per Schefter, the fifth-round selection is confirmed to be the higher of the two picks currently held by New England.
Brown, 28, leaves Philadelphia after a highly productive three-season stint that included two All-Pro nods and a key role in the team's Super Bowl LVII appearance. He now joins a Patriots offense where he is expected to serve as the primary target for the upcoming 2026 campaign. The move marks a significant transition for the Eagles, who will now lean more heavily on DeVonta Smith in their passing attack.
The processing of this trade concludes one of the biggest veteran moves of the 2026 offseason, officially shifting the power balance in the AFC East as New England secures a premier deep threat.
