Former Las Vegas Raiders center Barret Robbins has passed away at the age of 52, according to an announcement from the team. The news of the former All-Pro's passing was confirmed on Friday, per @AdamSchefter.
Robbins was a cornerstone of the Raiders offensive line for nearly a decade, spending his entire nine-year NFL career with the organization from 1995 through 2003. A second-round pick out of TCU, Robbins earned Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro honors during the 2002 season, a year in which he helped lead the franchise to an appearance in Super Bowl XXXVII.
Throughout his professional career, Robbins appeared in 121 games for the Silver and Black, making 105 starts. He was widely regarded as one of the premier centers in the league during the height of his career.
