The Cincinnati Bengals are hiring Davis Koetter as the team's new assistant wide receivers coach, according to a report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Koetter is the son of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach and veteran NFL offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter.
The move brings Davis Koetter into the professional coaching ranks following several years at the collegiate level. Per the report, Koetter spent the last year serving as an analyst at South Carolina. Prior to his tenure with the Gamecocks, he spent two seasons on the coaching staff at the University of Texas.
In Cincinnati, Koetter will join an offensive staff led by head coach Zac Taylor and will work with a wide receiver group that remains one of the most high-profile units in the NFL. This hire continues the Bengals' efforts to finalize their coaching staff for the 2026 season as they look to maintain their status as contenders in the AFC.
