ESPN senior writer Bill Barnwell has released his highly anticipated tiered rankings for the 2026 offensive free agent class, identifying Breece Hall and Tua Tagovailoa as some of the most intriguing names on the market.
According to Barnwell, New York Jets star Breece Hall represents the premier talent in the backfield, landing in Tier 2 as a "Pro Bowl-caliber starter." The analysis suggests Hall could see a significant production boost if he moves on from the Jets' struggling offensive environment. Meanwhile, the quarterback market features Tua Tagovailoa and Daniel Jones in Tier 3, categorized as "capable starters." Notably, Barnwell projects a potential veteran-minimum deal for Tagovailoa should he be released by the Miami Dolphins this offseason.
Other significant rankings include Green Bay Packers left tackle Rasheed Walker, who Barnwell places in Tier 3 with a projected annual salary between $15 million and $25 million. Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers and running back J.K. Dobbins were both placed in Tier 4 as "borderline starters/high-end backups," with Dobbins projected to earn a contract in the $3 million to $7 million range.
