Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady has hired former New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr. to join his coaching staff, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The move marks a significant reunion for the two coaches. Brady previously served as an offensive assistant for the Saints during the 2017 and 2018 seasons, working directly under Carmichael while he was the team's offensive coordinator. Now, the roles have shifted as Brady brings his former mentor to Buffalo to help manage the Bills' high-powered offense.
Carmichael brings a wealth of experience to the Bills' organization, having spent 15 seasons as the offensive coordinator in New Orleans. During his tenure, he was a key figure in the Saints' offensive dominance alongside Sean Payton and Drew Brees. He was available after being let go by the Saints following the conclusion of the 2023 season. His veteran presence is expected to provide valuable support to Brady, who took over as the Bills' offensive coordinator midway through last season before being officially promoted to the full-time role.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
