The Cleveland Browns have moved up in the third round of the NFL Draft, acquiring the 86th overall selection via a trade with the Los Angeles Chargers, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
To facilitate the move to the No. 86 spot, the Browns sent three draft picks to the Chargers: No. 105, No. 145, and No. 206. The trade allows Cleveland to secure a player higher on their board as the third round progresses. By moving back, the Chargers gain additional draft capital, adding picks in the fourth, fifth, and sixth rounds to their existing haul.
The Browns were immediately placed on the clock following the announcement of the transaction. This aggressive move up the board highlights Cleveland's desire to land a specific prospect in the top 100 selections. The Chargers now have more flexibility to address roster depth with the added volume of picks across the middle and late rounds of the draft.
No player names have been officially announced in connection with the 86th pick at the time of the trade confirmation. Both teams have now updated their draft boards to reflect the new order of selections for the remainder of the event.
