The Cleveland Browns have hired Todd Monken as their new head coach, according to a report from Daniel Oyefusi.
The move brings Monken back to Cleveland, where he previously served as the team's offensive coordinator during the 2019 season. Most recently, Monken served as the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens, where he was credited with evolving the team's passing attack and helping lead them to a deep postseason run.
The Browns leadership moved quickly to secure Monken to lead the franchise following their recent coaching search. Monken brings extensive experience from both the NFL and collegiate levels, including back-to-back national championships as the offensive coordinator for the Georgia Bulldogs prior to his time in Baltimore.
The organization is expected to begin finalizing the rest of the coaching staff under Monken immediately as they prepare for the upcoming offseason program. No further details regarding the length or financial terms of the contract have been released at this time.
