The Cleveland Browns have selected Utah offensive tackle Spencer Fano with the No. 9 overall pick in the NFL Draft, per @AdamSchefter. The selection comes after the Browns successfully moved into the top ten via a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs.
By moving to the No. 9 spot to secure Fano, the Browns have addressed a significant priority for their offensive line. In addition to landing the highly-rated tackle, Cleveland also bolstered their overall draft capital by acquiring both third- and fifth-round picks in this year's draft as part of the trade agreement with the Chiefs.
Spencer Fano, a standout prospect from the University of Utah, is expected to provide immediate reinforcement to the Browns front five. Despite the major move to the ninth spot, the Browns are expected to remain active in the first round, with reports indicating they are looking for further offensive help with their scheduled pick at No. 24 overall.
