Bryce Lance, the younger brother of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Trey Lance, has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The wide receiver is moving on from North Dakota State University, the program where his brother famously became a top NFL draft prospect.
A redshirt sophomore, Bryce Lance appeared in 13 games for the Bison during the 2023 season. While he was primarily utilized on special teams, he was a standout recruit coming out of Marshall High School in Minnesota. His decision to enter the portal follows the spring window opening, allowing him to seek a starting opportunity elsewhere with two years of eligibility remaining.
The Lance family has a storied history at North Dakota State. Trey Lance led the team to a national championship and an undefeated season in 2019 before being selected third overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. Bryce Lance will now look to forge his own path away from Fargo as he evaluates offers from other collegiate programs.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
