The Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to terms with former Seattle Seahawks tight end Will Dissly on a three-year contract, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The deal is reportedly worth $14 million over three years and includes $10 million in total guarantees. Rapoport characterized the move as the "most Chargers signing ever," bringing a "tough dude" to the roster as the team looks to bolster its physical identity at the line of scrimmage.
Dissly, 27, has spent his entire six-year professional career in Seattle after being selected in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of the University of Washington. Known as one of the premier blocking tight ends in the league, he has also been a productive receiver, recording 127 catches for 1,421 yards and 13 touchdowns across 72 career games.
The addition of Dissly addresses a key vacancy in the Chargers' tight end room and signals a clear emphasis on improving the team's run-blocking capabilities.
