The Kansas City Chiefs are trading All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams in a blockbuster deal, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and Adam Schefter of ESPN.
In exchange for the star defender, the Chiefs will receive a massive haul of draft capital, including the Rams' 2026 first-round pick (No. 29 overall), a fifth-round pick, a sixth-round pick, and a 2027 third-round selection. McDuffie is reportedly expected to finalize a long-term contract extension with Los Angeles as part of the transaction.
The 25-year-old McDuffie has been a cornerstone of the Chiefs' secondary since being drafted in the first round in 2022, earning First-Team All-Pro honors in 2023 and starting 13 games in 2025. The move follows recent comments from Rams General Manager Les Snead, who indicated the team was aggressive in seeking elite secondary talent. This trade marks the second major roster move for Kansas City this week, following reports of offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor's impending release.
