Washington Commanders General Manager Adam Peters has confirmed that rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels is fully healthy and performing at a high level during the team's offseason program, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
During an appearance on NFL Network’s "The Insiders," Peters provided a glowing review of the No. 2 overall pick's progress since joining the franchise. "He’s had an incredible offseason. … He looks great. He feels great. He’s healthy," Peters stated. The GM also discussed the organization's efforts to surround Daniels with additional offensive weapons through the recent NFL Draft to ensure a smooth transition for the rookie signal-caller.
The update comes as a significant positive for Washington as they integrate Daniels into the system as the presumed face of the franchise. The team continues to move through its offseason schedule ahead of mandatory minicamps.
