Van Jefferson, 27, spent the 2023 season with both the Los Angeles Rams and the Atlanta Falcons. After being traded to Atlanta mid-season, Jefferson finished the year with 20 receptions for 209 yards. A former second-round pick out of Florida, Jefferson is best known for his role in the Rams' 2021 Super Bowl championship season, where he recorded a career-high 802 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
In Washington, Jefferson will look to carve out a role in an offense led by new coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. He joins a receiving group headlined by Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson. This move signals the Commanders' intent to provide their quarterback room with experienced targets who can stretch the field.
