The Dallas Cowboys are officially releasing linebacker Logan Wilson, according to a report from ESPN's @AdamSchefter. The roster move was also reported by @VoiceOfTheStar.
The Cowboys originally acquired Wilson from the Cincinnati Bengals at the NFL trade deadline last season. In that deal, Dallas sent a 2026 seventh-round draft pick to the Bengals in exchange for the veteran defender. The move was intended to provide immediate veteran depth to the Cowboys' defense during their late-season push for the playoffs.
Wilson, who spent the first several years of his professional career as a core starter in Cincinnati, now enters the open market as a free agent. His release comes as NFL teams across the league continue to make critical roster adjustments and evaluate depth charts ahead of the new campaign. During his brief tenure in Dallas, the linebacker was brought in to bolster a defensive unit looking for veteran leadership in the middle of the field.
