Former Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia has officially accepted an invitation to attend the Baltimore Ravens rookie minicamp on a tryout basis, per @RapSheet.
Diego Pavia enters the professional ranks following a decorated collegiate career that culminated in a standout 2024 season at Vanderbilt. Pavia gained national prominence by leading the Commodores to a historic upset over top-ranked Alabama, finishing that season with 1,843 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and only three interceptions. A dynamic dual-threat signal-caller, he also added 628 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Prior to his time in the SEC, Pavia led New Mexico State to a 10-win season and a bowl victory, earning CUSA Offensive Player of the Year honors.
The Baltimore Ravens are looking to solidify their depth behind two-time MVP Lamar Jackson. The current quarterback room includes veteran Josh Johnson and 2024 sixth-round draft selection Devin Leary. Pavia’s mobile playstyle and ability to create outside of the pocket align with the offensive philosophy the Ravens have established, making him a high-upside evaluation for the scouting department during the minicamp period.
Pavia will compete alongside other undrafted prospects and invited players at the team's facility in Owings Mills. A successful showing during the three-day camp could result in a contract offer to join the 90-man roster for training camp later this summer.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
