The Miami Dolphins are signing tight end Ben Sims to a one-year contract, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network and The Insiders. The deal was finalized by LIFT Sports Management as the team continues to bolster its roster depth.

Sims joins the Dolphins after spending the 2023 season with the Green Bay Packers. During his time in Green Bay, the Baylor product appeared in 17 games, recording four receptions for 22 yards and one touchdown. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent and has quickly established himself as a reliable depth option at the tight end position.

The addition of Sims provides the Miami offense with another versatile piece to compete alongside veterans Durham Smythe and Jonnu Smith. The Dolphins have focused on adding physical players to their tight end room this offseason to support both the passing game and their zone-blocking run scheme under head coach Mike McDaniel.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
