The Miami Dolphins have signed veteran offensive tackle Charlie Heck, according to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN. The move adds experienced depth to the Dolphins offensive line as the team continues to finalize its roster.
Heck joins Miami after spending the previous season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Prior to his time in Tampa Bay, the veteran tackle spent the first four seasons of his career with the Houston Texans, who originally selected him in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of North Carolina.
During his professional career, Heck has appeared in 41 games and recorded 21 starts, primarily during his tenure in Houston. Standing at 6-foot-8, the veteran provides Miami with a massive frame and significant experience at the tackle position. The specific terms and length of the contract signed by Heck have not yet been disclosed by the organization.
