The Miami Dolphins have reached an agreement to sign former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Marco Wilson to a one-year contract, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The deal was confirmed by Wilson's agents, Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey, on Thursday.
Wilson, a native of Fort Lauderdale, returns home to South Florida to join a Dolphins secondary that has been active in reshaping its roster this offseason. The 25-year-old cornerback spent the latter portion of the 2023 season with the Bengals after being waived by the Arizona Cardinals in December. During his time in Arizona, Wilson served as a primary starter, appearing in 43 games and recording 159 tackles and three interceptions over three seasons.
A former fourth-round selection out of the University of Florida in the 2021 NFL Draft, Wilson brings significant veteran experience and depth to Miami's defensive backfield. The move allows the Dolphins to add a local product with starting pedigree as they continue to build their defense under new coordinator Anthony Weaver. Wilson is expected to compete for a rotational role in a unit that has seen several personnel shifts since the start of the new league year.
