The trade of Brown to Atlanta clears the way for veteran additions in the Philadelphia secondary. Marcus Epps returns to the Eagles after previously playing for the franchise from 2019 to 2022. During his first stint in Philadelphia, Epps developed into a consistent contributor in the defensive backfield before moving on in free agency.
Joining Epps is J.T. Gray, a highly decorated safety who has earned All-Pro honors three times during his career. Gray is recognized as one of the premier special teams players in the NFL, adding significant veteran experience to the Eagles roster. Both players are signed to one-year deals to bolster the team's depth following the departure of Brown, a 2023 third-round pick.
