Veteran defensive tackle Eddie Goldman held a workout with the New York Giants on Tuesday, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The 32-year-old interior lineman is currently a free agent after spending the 2025 NFL season as a member of the Washington Commanders.
Goldman brings significant experience to the table, having appeared in six games as a starter for Washington last year. Prior to his time with the Commanders, Goldman spent the majority of his career with the Chicago Bears, where he developed a reputation as a high-level run defender. He was originally selected by Chicago in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Florida State and has been a consistent presence in the trenches throughout his decade-long career.
The New York Giants are evaluating their options along the defensive front as they look to solidify their depth chart. Goldman's veteran presence and history as a reliable starter make him a potential candidate for a rotational role in the Giants' defensive scheme. No official signing has been announced by the team at this time following the workout.
