LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier took center stage in his journey to the NFL Draft on Monday, delivering a strong performance at the Tigers' Pro Day in Baton Rouge, according to Ian Rapoport.
Nussmeier, who entered the 2025 season with significant hype before an abdominal injury slowed his production, appeared to be fully healthy during his throwing session. The signal-caller showcased the arm strength and anticipation that helped him earn MVP honors at the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl, aiming to prove to NFL decision-makers that his injury-plagued senior campaign was an aberration. Scouts from across the league were in attendance to evaluate the quarterback, who is currently considered one of the top passers available in the upcoming draft.
Beyond the quarterback, other key Tigers were in action during the morning session. Linebacker Harold Perkins Jr. and cornerback Mansoor Delane also participated in the workouts. Perkins, who reportedly has scheduled pre-draft visits with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers, underwent athletic testing after opting out of drills at the NFL Combine. Delane, widely regarded as a top cornerback prospect, utilized the day to showcase his long speed in the 40-yard dash.
