The Washington Commanders are retaining a core member of their roster, re-signing Pro Bowl special teamer Jeremy Reaves, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Reaves has spent his professional career in Washington after initially joining the organization's practice squad in 2018. He enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2022, earning both Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro honors for his exceptional play on special teams. His return ensures the Commanders keep a veteran leader in the locker room as the organization transitions under new head coach Dan Quinn.
The 27-year-old safety is looking to bounce back from a 2023 season that was cut short by a knee injury. Reaves appeared in just five games last year before being placed on injured reserve in October. Despite the injury setback, his impact on the field and his journey from an undrafted free agent to an All-Pro have made him a cornerstone of the Washington special teams unit.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
