The Tennessee Titans are re-signing safety Jerrick Reed II to a one-year contract, according to a report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The deal ensures the defensive back will remain in Nashville as the team continues to solidify its roster for the upcoming season.
Reed was originally selected by the Titans in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of New Mexico. During his rookie season, he became a core member of the special teams unit, appearing in 10 games and recording 10 tackles. His promising debut season was unfortunately cut short due to a knee injury suffered in November, but this new agreement signals the team's continued confidence in his recovery and development.
By bringing back Reed on a one-year deal, the Titans maintain depth in their secondary and retain one of their most productive special teams contributors from a year ago. Financial terms of the contract have not been made public at this time.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
