New York Jets General Manager Darren Mougey has completed nine player trades in just over a year on the job, according to @AdamSchefter.
The high-volume activity from the Jets front office includes moving several of the team’s most prominent defensive stars. Per the report, the Jets have traded away cornerback Sauce Gardner, defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, linebacker Jermaine Johnson, and defensive back Michael Carter II. In addition to these players, the team has dealt one sixth-round draft pick and four seventh-round picks as part of the various transactions.
In return for these assets, Darren Mougey has acquired safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat, and Jowon. These moves bring the total number of trades completed during Mougey’s tenure to nine, signaling a significant transformation of the New York roster since he took over the position roughly 12 months ago.
