The New York Jets have traded up with the San Francisco 49ers to acquire the No. 30 overall pick in the NFL Draft, per @AdamSchefter.
To facilitate the move into the first round, the Jets are sending the No. 33 overall pick and the No. 179 overall pick to the 49ers. The San Francisco 49ers will now hold the first pick of the second round at No. 33, in addition to the fifth-round selection acquired in the swap.
The trade allows the Jets to move up three spots from their original position at the start of the second round. This marks a significant shift in the draft order as the first round nears its conclusion. No player selection has been officially announced in conjunction with the trade at this time.
The New York Jets now hold the 30th overall selection, while the San Francisco 49ers have added draft capital and will pick early on the second day of the event.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
