This update is a brief. We are expanding coverage with additional context and analysis as more details become available.

Green Bay Packers star running back Josh Jacobs was arrested and booked into the Brown County Jail on Tuesday on five separate charges, including battery/domestic abuse, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The arrest stems from a disturbance complaint involving Jacobs that occurred this past Saturday. In addition to the battery charge, Jacobs faces charges of criminal damage to property/domestic abuse, disorderly conduct/domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim. He reportedly turned himself in to the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department earlier today.

In a statement provided to Ian Rapoport, attorneys for Jacobs, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, said their client "vehemently denies the allegations" and emphasized that the judicial process is in its early stages. The Green Bay Packers also released a brief statement acknowledging the matter, stating they will withhold further comment due to the ongoing legal situation.

Jacobs joined the Packers in 2024 and has been a cornerstone of the team's backfield. His status for the remainder of the offseason and the 2026 campaign is currently unknown.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
