Former Indiana running back Kaelon Black has concluded his pre-draft tour with a visit to the Cincinnati Bengals, though the journey involved significant travel complications, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
The visit to Cincinnati marked the 12th pre-draft meeting for Black. The logistical hurdles began on Tuesday night while the running back was traveling from Las Vegas following a visit with the Las Vegas Raiders. Per Pelissero, Black’s connecting flight was canceled at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, leaving the prospect stranded.
Rather than canceling the meeting, Black reportedly spent the night sleeping at the airport. To facilitate the final leg of the trip, the Bengals arranged for an Uber to pick up the former Hoosier at O'Hare and drive him directly to the team facility to ensure the visit took place as scheduled.
This marathon travel sequence concludes a busy draft cycle for Black, who has met with nearly a dozen teams ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft. The commitment shown by both the player and the Bengals organization underscores the importance of this final evaluation period.
