Nine-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Khalil Mack has reached an agreement on a one-year, fully-guaranteed $18 million contract to remain with the Los Angeles Chargers, per Adam Schefter and Kris Rhim of ESPN.

Mack, 33, produced a career-high 17 sacks during the 2023 season. He also contributed 74 total tackles and five forced fumbles across 17 games. Since being traded to the Chargers in 2022, the veteran edge rusher has accumulated 25 total sacks and 124 tackles for the franchise.

The agreement keeps the veteran defender in Los Angeles for the upcoming season. Mack is a former NFL Defensive Player of the Year and has been selected to the Pro Bowl nine times throughout his career with the Raiders, Bears, and Chargers.

The Los Angeles Chargers have been working to manage their roster and salary cap ahead of the new league year. Mack has appeared in 151 career games, totaling 101.5 sacks and 33 forced fumbles since entering the league as a first-round pick in 2014.
