Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Kindle Vildor is signing a one-year contract with the New England Patriots, per his agents Kevin Conner and Robert Brown of Universal Sports Management.
The move was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter. Vildor joins the Patriots after a 2023 season where he spent time with both the Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The veteran defender adds immediate depth to a New England secondary looking to solidify its rotation under the new coaching regime.
Originally a fifth-round selection by the Chicago Bears in the 2020 NFL Draft, Vildor has appeared in 56 career games with 24 starts. Over his four seasons in the league, he has recorded 107 total tackles, 11 passes defended, and one interception. His experience in multiple defensive systems makes him a versatile addition to the Patriots roster as they approach the offseason program.
Financial terms of the one-year agreement were not immediately made public. Vildor will likely compete for a role in the defensive backfield alongside Christian Gonzalez and Jonathan Jones.
