The Baltimore Ravens have officially withdrawn from their trade agreement for Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby, according to a statement released by Crosby's agent and reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The blockbuster deal, which involved the Ravens sending 2026 and 2027 first-round picks to Las Vegas, was nullified on Wednesday after Crosby failed his physical. Per @RapSheet, the Ravens made the decision based on medical evaluations of Crosby’s knee, stating they were "not ready to assume the risk" following his offseason surgery.

Crosby, a five-time Pro Bowler, underwent a meniscus repair in January. While he had traveled to Baltimore to finalize the move, the failed medical exam sends the 28-year-old back to the Raiders roster. The Raiders confirmed the trade is off in a brief organizational statement on Wednesday morning.

The sudden collapse of the trade leaves the Raiders in a difficult position regarding the salary cap. The team had already agreed to terms with several high-profile free agents, including All-Pro center Tyler Linderbaum, under the assumption that Crosby's $30.7 million cap hit would be off the books. Crosby remains under contract with Las Vegas through the 2029 season.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
