Six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans is signing a three-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers, according to Tom Pelissero and The Insiders. The veteran pass-catcher joins the defending NFC champions in a move that significantly bolsters their offensive arsenal heading into the new season.
The 32-year-old Evans enters this new chapter following a legendary stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Although recent injuries ultimately ended his record-breaking streak of 1,000-yard receiving seasons to begin a career, Evans remains one of the league's premier red-zone threats. The deal was reportedly negotiated by agents Deryk Gilmore of Day 1 Sports Entertainment and DR Jones of Maven Sports.
By landing in San Francisco, Evans joins a star-studded roster that already features Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel. The addition provides quarterback Brock Purdy with a massive veteran target on the perimeter as the 49ers look to secure another Super Bowl run.
