Multiple NFL teams moved to solidify their rosters on Monday as five exclusive rights free agents officially re-signed with their respective clubs, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The group of players returning to their teams includes wide receiver Jalen Coker of the Carolina Panthers, wide receiver Nikko Remigio of the Kansas City Chiefs, and wide receiver Xavier Smith of the Los Angeles Rams. On the defensive and trench side, the San Francisco 49ers retained offensive tackle Austen Pleasants, while the Seattle Seahawks reached an agreement to bring back defensive back Ty Okada.
An exclusive rights free agent (ERFA) is any player with fewer than three accrued seasons whose contract has expired. If their current team offers a one-year contract at the league minimum salary, the player is prohibited from negotiating with any other team. These signings ensure that all five players will remain with their organizations as off-season programs continue to ramp up across the league.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
