The New England Patriots are signing defensive lineman Dre’Mont Jones to a three-year, $39.5 million contract, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Per @RapSheet, the deal includes $14.5 million in the first year of the agreement. Jones, 27, joins the Patriots after spending the 2023 season with the Seattle Seahawks. Prior to his tenure in Seattle, the defensive tackle played four seasons with the Denver Broncos, who originally selected him in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ohio State.
Throughout his professional career, Dre’Mont Jones has established himself as a disruptive force on the interior of the defensive line. Known for his ability to generate pressure on the quarterback, Jones has maintained consistent production across his five seasons in the league. This signing marks a significant addition to the New England Patriots' defensive front as the team continues to build its roster under the new leadership of head coach Jerod Mayo.
