The Las Vegas Raiders are signing veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins to a new contract, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The move brings one of the league's most established passers to Las Vegas to lead the offense under the team's current regime.
The financial terms of the deal are notably complex, involving contributions from his previous team. Per Rapoport, the contract pays Cousins $10 million for the 2026 season. Of that total, the Raiders will pay $1.3 million, while the Atlanta Falcons are responsible for the remainder of the salary. Additionally, Cousins is slated to receive a $10 million fully guaranteed roster bonus next March that includes no offset language.
The deal also provides the Raiders with a significant future choice, as it includes a two-year team option valued at $80 million.
