The Los Angeles Rams have reached an agreement to acquire All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns in a massive blockbuster trade, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The move sends the reigning NFL single-season sack record-holder to Los Angeles in exchange for a significant package of players and picks.
In exchange for Garrett, the Browns will receive Pro Bowl edge rusher Jared Verse and a 2027 first-round draft pick. Per @AdamSchefter, additional draft pick compensation is also expected to be included in the final deal. The trade is currently pending a physical examination for Garrett.
Garrett is coming off a historic 2025 campaign where he set a new NFL record with 23 sacks, marking his eighth consecutive season with double-digit sacks. He joins a Rams roster that has been aggressive this offseason, having already acquired cornerback Trent McDuffie and extended the contract of reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford.
The addition of Garrett immediately bolsters a Rams defense looking to compete for a Super Bowl in 2026. Garrett enters the season with 125.5 career sacks and two Defensive Player of the Year awards to his name.
