Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been named in a civil lawsuit filed in Texas alleging he repeatedly assaulted an ex-girlfriend over an 18-month period, per reporting from Nate Taylor and Mike Rothstein.
The lawsuit, filed by Dacoda Jones, alleges that Rice engaged in a pattern of physical abuse spanning from 2023 to 2025. According to the filing, Jones claims she was pregnant during many of the instances in which the alleged assaults occurred.
The legal filing represents the latest off-field matter involving the Kansas City Chiefs starter. Rice, who recently completed his second season in the NFL, has not yet released a formal statement regarding the specific allegations contained in the civil suit. The Chiefs organization has also yet to comment on the matter.
